Martin Mechanical Recent Projects

UGA Health Science Campus Athens, Georgia Martin Mechanical has completed renovation projects in most of the buildings located on the Health Science Campus. This campus was formerly occupied by the US Navy Supply Corp School. These existing buildings were repurposed for classrooms, laboratories, offices, meeting spaces, food services and many other uses.
Ridgeview Institute Monroe, Georgia This project was a complete renovation of the old local hospital in Monroe into a state of the art facility to treat behavioral disorders. We completed systems for patient rooms, treatment rooms and many other uses.
Foley Field Baseball Stadium Athens, Georgia Foley Field is the home of the Georgia Bulldogs Baseball Team. This project consisted of complete renovations of the locker rooms, press box, fan seating areas, field lighting and all other areas of the stadium.
Barnett Shoals Elementary School Athens, Georgia Barnett Shoals School was replaced with a brand new facility built on the site of the existing old school. The project included classrooms, restrooms, kitchen, administration, gym and all other facilities found in an elementary school.
Coliseum Training Facility Athens, Georgia This project is an annex built on to the existing Stegeman Coliseum at the University of Georgia. Practices facilities, locker rooms, offices, meeting rooms and weight training for the UGA Men’s Basketball Bulldogs, the Lady Bulldogs Basketball team and the UGA Women’s Gymnastics team are located in this facility.
UGA Park Hall Athens,Georgia The entire HVAC system in Park Hall was replaced. The work included new fan coil units and outdoor air units in the attic.
Athens Clarke County Jail Athens, Georgia The project was a major addition to and renovation of the county jail. This facility now has state of the art systems including chilled water, hot water, variable volume air handling, domestic water heater, security and access controls.
UGA Russell Hall Dormitory Athens, Georgia Russell Hall was completely gutted down to the structure and all systems replaced. Our work included new water heating, domestic water, sanitary and storm drainage systems and plumbing fixtures.
UGA College of Veterinary Medicine Athens, Georgia There have been many additions and renovations at the Vet School . These include, laboratories, clinical and research space, classrooms and offices. We have participated in dozens of these projects both large and small.
Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center Lavonia, Georgia A Brand new hospital and medical office building was constructed to replace the old and outdated facility. The project included systems for patient rooms, operating rooms, laboratories, clinical space, administration and doctor’s offices.
Sapelo Island Marine Institute Darien, Georgia Sapelo Island is on the coast of Georgia and is only accessible via water. We completed a renovation of the old power house into a teaching facility. Another project was the replacement of the domestic water mains for the facility. The biggest challenge for these jobs was logistics such as material delivery and handling. All material, equipment and trucks had to be carried over on a barge and manpower traveled via ferry.
UGA Indoor Athletic Facility Athens, Georgia This facility was constructed primarily for the Bulldogs football team to practice in inclement weather. The systems for this project were a challenge to install because of the very high structure and wide span.
Classic Center Ice Rink Athens, Georgia The Classic Center added an ice rink to their facility for use by the UGA Bulldogs Hockey Team as well as for recreational use by the general public. The project included a dehumidification system to ensure that fog did not accumulate over the ice.
University Health Center Athens, Georgia While we installed the mechanical system in the Health Center for UGA when it was originally built, we also have participated in several renovation projects. In these renovations we provided mechanical, plumbing and electrical services.
Athens Church Athens, Georgia After moving into a mostly abandoned shopping center, Athens Church began to renovate their space and expand into the rest of the spaces in the facility. Martin Mechancial participated in several of these projects.
Science Learning Center Athens, Georgia This facility was built to add classrooms, teaching labs, offices and student gathering spaces to the science disciplines on south campus at the University of Georgia. The project included several complicated systems need in the modern science world.
ADP Augusta, Georgia The payroll process company expanded their facility in Augusta, Georgia. This project included data center facilities and administrative space to accommodate the growth of their human resource services.
Ben Epps Airport Terminal Athens, Georgia Athens-Clarke County constructed a new terminal building at the Ben Epps Airport. The project included the typical airport terminal facilities such as baggage handling and retail points of sale for travelers.
Georgia Center for Continuing Education Athens, Georgia The University of Georgia has expanded and renovated various portions of the facility over the years. We have participated in renovations of meeting space, ballrooms, restrooms, hotel rooms, kitchen and mechanical spaces.
Sanford Stadium Restroom Renovation Athens, Georgia Phased over a three year period, the UGA Athletic Association renovated dozens of old restroom facilities at Sanford Stadium. Improvements included new plumbing fixtures, lighting, ventilation, flooring. The goal of the project was to improve the fan experience by making the facilities more modern and sanitary.
