Located in northeast Georgia, Martin Mechanical is located in close proximity to many institutions of higher learning, including Georgia's flagship university. Having successfully completed numerous MEP installations within these institutions we have developed a vast knowledge in the construction of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for universities and technical colleges. Whether we are installing a complete HVAC system in a new classroom building, running lab and medical gas lines in a medical teaching facility, or performing lighting retrofits of an existing building our unique experience in this market helps us deliver projects on time and on budget.

UGA Special Collections Library

Project Information:
This facility functions as an archive and display facility for rare historical documents and books belonging to the University of Georgia. The library features exhibit areas, public use spaces, and student and faculty reading areas. In order to protect the contents of the library, the archive vaults are equipped with desiccant humidity control systems that removes water from the air while providing a cool, dry storage environment. In addition, we installed an HVAC system that ensures a comfortable environment for users of this facility.
UGA Tate Center Expansion

Project Information:
This expansion of the UGA Tate Student Center included the addition of a parking deck, large meeting hall, student gathering areas, retail dining shops, and high end architectural finishes. Martin Mechanical's scope of work included the rerouting of the site utilities. This was one of the most challenging aspects of the project as we were responsible for coordinating utility shutdowns to ensure minimal impact to surrounding campus facilities. We performed this project under a GMAX, cost plus team approach with Holder.
Georgia Gwinnett Technical College Academic Center Phase I

Project Information:
This building was the first facility built at the new Gwinnett Tech campus. The facility houses administrative offices, classrooms, and library services. Martin Mechanical performed the environmental climate control systems and plumbing systems installation.
UGA Main Library

Project Information:
This project was a total renovation of the 50+ year old HVAC system. Martin Mechanical installed a completely new mechanical system, three new mechanical rooms, and replaced all light fixtures. Martin Mechanical self performed all of the work on this project with the exception of the ceiling replacement and architectural work. This project presented us with the challenge of having to complete the work while the building was operating. Despite this test we finished the project one year ahead of schedule.
Athens Technical College Health Science Building

Project Information:
This building serves as a teaching facility for training medical and dental technician students. The building is equipped with all major systems that are found in hospitals and other medical facilities, including lab and medical gasses. Along with a condensed construction schedule, this project required Martin Mechanical to use certified medical gas installers for our work.
